The contract includes an option for 10 more locomotives which, if exercised, would increase the value of the contract to Zlotys 551.4m. Newag was named preferred bidder for this order in January.
Delivery of the 160km/h locomotives is to be completed by the end of 2020. Newag will be responsible for inspecting the locomotives at the second, third and fourth levels of maintenance.
